We had a great Literacy Lockdown for I love to read month! We had our grande finale this afternoon with our ‘Lockdown Liftoff’, prizes, draws, etc. For the Liftoff, we had each student and staff write a Covid encouragement note. We rolled the notes and put them inside each balloon. The students released the balloons on Friday to celebrate I love to read month, and hope their notes are encouragement to those that find them! The students did a great job with our I love to read activities which included the Pandemic Poetry, Sanitized Stories, Lock Down Lessons and Pandemic Perspective stories. Thanks to those that submitted family posters – these are on display on the 8th Ave. side of the playground, near the play structure. Drive by and have a look! Check out this video:
